My pig out day

I decided that even though I started in the middle of the week I would make Saturday my "Pig Out" day because it fits in to our families schedule the best. My husband and i both work strange shifts - for 3 days I work Swing shift (3pm to 11pm) and then I work Mid Shift (11pm to 7am), and he always works Mid shift. We both work weekends & have our days off throughout the week. Saturday fits best for a quick dinner & some quick fast snacks from work (nothing healthy here). Oh, and we both sleep in saturday after staying up very late Friday night after work.
So, ANYWAYS..... it's hamburger helper for dinner, a couple sodas, a cookie or two, & whatever goodies someone has brought to work. i didn't go over my calories too awuful bad.
My blood sugar on the other hand - HOLY CRAP!!! it was 188!!!!!
ok, so.... next saturday I will choose Diet soda instead of Mt Dew, and maybe bring an apple or yogurt instead of eating the chocolate covered popcorn that is sitting here.... but i do believe that allowing myself one "pig out" day a week isn't a bad thing, as long as i focus on how I can do better throughout the rest of the week.
Oh, and i have also managed to remember to take my pills and log my food for the past 3 days.

    When I started this weight loss adventure, a friend told me to make sure I ate 200-300 more calories than normal one day a week. It confuses your body enough so it won't get used to the same calories everyday. So far it seems to have worked as I have lost 20 pounds in about 8 weeks.
