Back in the real world!!

Well it's back to the real world for me. Boy did we have fun on our cruise. I actually donned a bathing suit in public for the first time in many years....we went snorkeling off a catamaran and just had a great time. I was determined when I left that I would do all of SP rituals from the ship!!! And I tried very hard....but I soon found that I was too worried about getting all my info into the nutrition tracker and fitness trackers and too worried about eating and drinking, that I was not really going to have the blast I had planned because I was being too rigid. Gosh - I lost 29 pounds to go on this cruise.....why would I not want to enjoy the heck out of it? So - I quit worrying about my spark emails and I quit logging on to track things. What I didn't quit was watching what I ate.....drinking lots of water......and moving everyday. And I had the best time after that!!!! Now - I probably gained a couple pounds in that week. So---I my answer to that was not weighing when I got home. I am going to wait a week and then see what the scale says. It was not difficult to get back on track on Monday morning and everything is back to normal SP-wise. But I missed everyone and I am still checking emails and such...But I am also glad to be back and amongst all of my teamates and friends. Let's all have a great December!!!

    You did it, good job. When we go on our 15 day cruise next April...I am going to keep a food log. I write a daily lod of what I am doing while on board the ship, because I know I won't remember what day we did when. So while writing in that, I will write what I eat, rather that try to figure out what to put in the food tracker. I hope to log on veggies and water to keep my streak going. I will walk around the deck every day we 're at sea. I figure when we go on excursions I will get plenty of exercise.
    I think you did great while you were on your cruise. I also think it is a great idea not to get on the scale for a week, also. Good thinking. I look forward to seeing your photos.

    Welcome back!!! Sounds like you had a great time and took a vacation from things and that's what vacations are for.

    Now, vacation is over and it's time to buckle down and it sounds like you are planning on doing that. I always tell myself that "Fast Fat Falls Fast". In other words, the weight we gained over a longer period of time seems to be the slowest to get off, but if we go up 2 lbs one week, we can lose that 2 lbs the next week fairly fast.

    The important thing is that you are glad to be back at SP with all the great friends you have made and we are happy you are back and on track.
