CSI- Evidence of a FAT Person

Getting ready for work in the morning started to become a bit of a chore because I had to try on a bunch of different outfits to find something that fit (a really great problem to have). So, Hubbie & I cleaned out the closet on Sunday. Our closet was a total crime scene – evidence of a fat person everywhere. Here are 3 signs that a fat person has taken over your closet…
Shells – I’m not sure what to actually call these kinds of shirts, but they don’t button up. You just pull them over your head & generally you don’t tuck them in. There are rolls where my waist should be so I wear a lot of draping, un-tuck, shell shirts.
Dresses/Skirts – I only own 2 dresses & 1 skirt that I can actually wear. I’m not a girlie girl, but I do like dresses/skirts – the fat Nicole clearly does not.
8 different sizes of clothes- I have clothes ranging from a size 14 to a size 26 (& one pair of junior size 9 jeans – I’m not sure why I kept those)
Trying on all of my clothes and seeing how big some of them were was motivating and de-motivating all at the same time. I have a winter coat (that I’m still wearing) that can I can make overlap itself by almost a foot. Was I really that big? How could I let that happen!?!?! With 8 different sizes of clothes I certainly knew I was just getting bigger & bigger & bigger! Why didn’t I get serious sooner? I am really so ashamed and disappointed in myself. It's very strange to be happy & sad at the same time.
Anywho, I kept a few samples of the old stuff as a reminder of where I’ve been and eventually for the before and after pic. I'm going to take the rest to my sisters to see if they want any of it & then to charity. Hubbie almost has no pants left. In his biggest pair he could fit into one leg! Yesterday, I went to work super cute. I wore my 1 skirt, my size 14/16 shirt, and a pair of black & white hounds tooth peep toe pumps (that I bought a long time ago and never wore because I decided my feet were too fat when I got them home).
Keep your eyes open people!!! The signs are everywhere don't let them sneak up on you like they did to me. I’m nowhere near my goal weight, but I’m NEVER going back to 287!
