Day 2 of 2 wk Food Challenge

Today my boss had us over to his house for the office Christmas party. It was a very nice home cooked lunch. A little (a lot) off my plan, but I did stay within calories today and I did may the best choices I could, reminding myself that it was only one meal.
Steel Cut Oats
Rye crisps (one serving size)
1 oz cranberry chevre cheese
cup of black coffee
One cup size portion of Chicken Alfredo w/lots of broccoli in it
Spinach Salad w/pecans and strawberries
Frozen dessert that was too decadent to pass up but way out of plan
1 cup basamati rice
3.5 oz talapia
3 cloves of garlic and italian jalapenos in olive oil
Like I said, not the best day I've had, but not the worst either. I did stick to drinking water lots of water today. I am proud of myself. For the past week, our break room table has been covered with goodies. I have stuck to eating the foods I prepare and pack for myself everyday. I keep my cooler at my desk with an ice pack in the lunch cooler so I don't have to go into the break room. This has kept me from indulging in empty calories and helped me keep from getting hungry. I have a plan and stick to the plan. So, I've decided that today's lunch time indulgence is okay. Not okay as in I will do that on a regular basis. But, okay as in the Christmas lunch at my boss's house only happens once a year and one meal on one day is not going to make or break my goals/plans. And okay as in I didn't OVER indulge, I had a very modest serving of everything, except the salad! It was yummy and I filled up my plate with spinach!!! yum!
