A Few Bumps in the Road

Saturday, January 02, 2010

My plan for today is the same as yesterday on exercise and eating.

I did great with my exercise yesterday and ate great most of the day until evening when I was hungry and didn't eat on plan. I stayed okay for the day on carbs and calories but did no eat the snacks I planned and should have opted for protein. I tried mindful eating when I thought of it.

I am trying to get something extra accomplished at home every day.

Yesterday was bitterly cold but we took down and put away the Xmas decorations and put my winter wreath on the front porch wall.

I need to decorate for Valentine's Day outside and may do that today if I can stand the cold. I also want to try and defrost one of my dorm fridges.

It's almost noon and only 19 degrees today so I have not done outdoor chores yet. We were out 2 hours yesterday when it was in the 20's and it was misery. LOL.

Have a great day.

I really admire your excellent sense of planning and hard work! You always accomplish sooo much. WOW - that's some kind of cold out your way! Now, we're going to have our temp plummet to 17°, but that's late at night! I don't know that I'd even set foot outside if it were that cold during the daytime.

    Good for you!

It was cold here today too so I had to trudge to the gym instead of running outside. I think all will be back to normal (read hectic) for me once I head back to work.

I would definitely leave the emoticon Valentine decorating for a much warmer day, gf! It's a long way off, after all!

I am tackling general house cleaning and some laundry today, but also want to get out and look for some new things for my kitchen. Mainly a new utensil holder, dish drainer, etc. that all match. Wish me luck.

I'm having such a lazy day that your day sounds like a whirlwind! I'm not happy about taking down the Christmas decorations, cause I'll miss them, but I'll do it tomorrow. I really like the idea of a winter wreath as an alternative festive decoration and soon will bring out my Valentine frogs-on-a-motorcycle to keep things cheery in here.

You have no worries...it sounds like you are VERY active...so if you didn't stay quite on your plan....it will still work out at the end!!! I give you 100points just for going outside when it is that fridge!!! I admire you.

It sounds like you are doing a great job. I am tring to get back on South Beach today...well, sort of modified, maybe, my sweet hubby is still making me watch my fiber. I guess that would make it just kind of low carb then... Anyway, I need to find out more about mindful eating. It sounds like something that could help me... Have a great day!

One day at a time with the eating and exercise plan. It sounds like you are doing great. Of course there will be bumps in your road, the important thing is that you deal with them one at a time. I know you can do this. Oh, and you go ...I haven't even thought of valentines day yet.
