Whose Woods These Are..........

Today I have been lot more productive than yesterday thus far.
It was 5 degrees this morning with a wind chill of -15. Why can't we have this wind in the summer when the humidly is sky high and any breeze would be welcome?! LOL. The wind chill was -24 the other day so at least that is improving. Our snow won't melt off until next week when it gets above freezing. I'm looking forward to that. It will seem like a heat wave to me.
The county and city schools are closed due to the temps. We can stay home today and this weekend but I must admit that staying home without being able to get outside much is not fun.
Normally I love doing my chores outside but not in this bitter cold. I just rush through them as quickly as possible.
The birds are going wild at our feeder. Even Wrenster is eating suet today. Lots of woodpeckers, chickadees, cardinals, nuthatches, goldfinches, purple finches, juncos, white throated sparrows, etc.
It is so cold, even in the house, so I am making some vegetable beef barley soup.
I am going to do some exercise.
Have a great day,
