Size 12, Size Large Tank Sweater for a night out with friends on June 19th..this is my goal to be wearing....
Now this can be tricky....years ago I lost 50 lbs on WW (weight watchers), I hit a plateau at size 16 and couldn't get past..so I hired a trainer at the gym. I started heavy VERY HEAVY WEIGHTS..considered "Lift to failure"...High Weights Low Reps..now if you look at my photos you will see I was NOT bulky. The weight in SIZE...well I melted right away into a size 14/12 very quickly. I also worked out 5 days a week doing HEAVY WEIGHT LIFTING. I also credit this time to my debilitating spine, inproper lifting most likely. I lost this in about 5 mths. I also spent 3-4 hours at the gym from start to finish. (Between class, weights, cardio, , 4hours if I steam roomed, showered and changed) Regardless here was my stats
Size 12...178 lbs
Yes that's right 178 lbs. So, by BMI I was still considered "Obese" although my body fat was at a 21% (very lean)..so BMI, SCALES and I don't mix well.
Scales & BMI can be tricky. I think scales are fantastic and are very important, they are just not the ONLY WAY.
NOW..here I am, not able to ever (not that I want to) do heavy weight lifting again and not wanting to spend my life at the gym. All I can do is eat carefully (which I was more relaxed when I was heavy lifting) and do cardio (which I did little to nothing before)
Even at that size 12, I was not comfortable able to wear *These jeans* pictured. So, I will say any size 12 I will be happy with. I just love the design and tear, so if not these I will find another new cool pair to go with the sweater. Noticed I layed out the jewelry? Hahahhaha
So to keep me grounded and focused (as I am the poster child/adult for ADD) I hung the outfit on my door to closet so when I open it I see it.
I think it's neat to see WHERE people spend there time on spark..so here is mine...(newly put into our dining room so I can WATCH what my boys do online)
And here is my favorite water bottle...by Rubbermaid.. holds 32 oz of water which is 1/2 your needed a day (8-8oz).
So you can see, it's nothing fancy, nothing sporty, it's simple. I get overwhelmed if I have to keep filling up glasses, I lose count. And something strange with me and water, I like drinking out of a bottle.
I read before you should drink 1/2 your body weight in ounces, so my new goal is 12. My trainer (who I pay to much for since I never see..my fault) always pushes me to drink drink DRINK water because of the medications you put in your body..any pills, over the counter or prescription.
Funny bathroom story, well..I think it is. I love hot tea, I have about a zillion kinds, so the other night I thought I would try the Senna Tea again. Now I have bought this before since I would have 1 bowel movement a week. I had to drink like 4 cups before for it to work. SO the other night I wasn't to concerned. Ummm..hello..maybe it' s the increase in water, or not the gunk I had been eating (fast food) but I visited the bathroom so much I felt light headed. Amazing what water intake can do. Sorry to be crude it's not my intention but it's a wake up call to me, since before I drank maybe 1-2 cups of water a MONTH. I lived on either pop or nothing. Even my trainer couldn't believe HOW LITTLE of liquid I consumed a day.
So, maybe I only lost 1 lb this week, but the water is certainly something to be proud of.
