Right now I am at a point where I need to make a huge decision. not sure if I am ready to make it.... I belong to Weight Watchers too. and those meetings help me be accountable... but the 40 bucks a month is what is weighing my husband down.. Just now I came to a realization that it is like School for me and I haven't graduated..... or can I use sparkpeople as my school and still get the same support as I have gotten from my WW meeting with all my friends in attendance?? What do I do........ Crossroads!

    I used to go to WW and looked forward to the meetings. I always felt I wanted to learn more during the week though. The half hour of so was great, but not enough for me.

    On Spark I can do anything I want any time. I don't even have to drive somewhere to attend.

    This can only be your decision as we are all different and respond to different approaches.

    I found WW very useful when I attended but I didn't find the same support there once I'd lost weight - so I put it all right back on again.

    With SP, I've been maintaining for 6 months at a weight that is 13lb below my last WW goal. The free 24/7 availability of SP and the fantastic peer support make SP the winner for me.

    We all have to do what works for us. I could sit here and tell you to worry about yourself and not your husband, but that wouldn't be right. You have a commitment to him that needs to be honoured. Of course, don't listen to be about husbands, anyway...I've been separated for 8 1/2 years. LOL.

    For me, personally, I decided to stop going to WW. The weekly meeting fees was just too much for me as a single parent and I wasn't getting enough out of WW to justify the cost. Then I found SparkPeople and I feel that I can get everything from Spark that I could get from WW. There are weekly weigh-in, there is nutritional infornation, there is an amazing amount of support. Plus, there is the fitness information that WW doesn't offer, unless they've changed.

    So, for me, the decision was easy. But then, I don't have a husband in the mix. Goood luck with your choice.

    there is a lot of support here....lots of help articles to but if you have time for yourself you will find a lot of information too and we all blog and stuff and sometimes other peoples perpective is a good thing to have. I would wait a few months with spark people and then make that decision about WW.

    I CAME TO SP FROM WW AND I HAVE NEVER REGRETTED IT. ACTUALLY, I DID CURVES FOR A WHILE FIRST BECAUSE OF THE GYM...BUT SP IS BY FAR THE BEST WEB SITE FOR NUTRITION AND ACTIVITY. I LOVED WW AND MY LEADER AT WW, BUT I WAS TRYING TO SAVE WHEN MY DH WAS LAID OFF. NOW I STAY BECAUSE IT IS THE BEST! THERE ARE A BUNCH OF PEOPLE HERE WHO ARE ALSO DOING WW. I THINK THERE IS A TEAM...CHECK THAT OUT.
