Spring Fitness Roll

I have been with SparkPeople a little over 4 weeks now. Prior to finding the site, which I came across when I read a review on the book "Spark", I had signed up for the class I take at our local college called "Dance You Way to Weight Loss". I have blogged about my dance classes a couple of times. The instructor of this class is very intense and gets us moving, grooving and sweating our butts off.

I had been contemplating signing up for another one that this instructor had a part in which is called "Spring Fitness Challenge". Last week I spoke to her about the class and she thought I would enjoy it. I'm trying to make sure I have options when it comes to exercise. I have read many articles that says to change it up so I want to make sure I do. I signed up and it starts tonight and runs twice a week for six weeks.

The nice thing about the fitness class is there is one hour of nutrition and one hour of fitness. I think it will benefit me in many ways.

Last week in my Binghamton Team, DDorn posted another Healthy U Challenge and that one you have to be chosen to participate in. They have to limit the number of participants so they pick in lottery format. Myself and four other co-workers have applied. I hope we get in.

Wish me luck tonight. On top of the 1 hour class with the fitness queen (she is intense) I took a 40 minute walk at lunch that was at a very good pace.
