Snow Shoveling in March?

Tuesday, March 23, 2010

Yes you read the title correctly, I was shoveling snow in March. Every since the big snow we received at Christmas, the alley behind my house has been blocked. The city isn't responsible for the alleys and since at one time the pile/drift was about 12 feet tall, I wasn't able to do anything about it either. Well today my neighbor went through it with his truck and that was all the incentive I needed. I got out the shovel and shoveled from tire tracks in. My son "helped" and I was able to get it done in about 15-20 minutes, just a little extra cardio! emoticon
Now I will be able to drive my car out either side of the alley and so will anyone else that doesn't have a high clearance vehicle. emoticon
Since getting home from school and getting my workout, my mood has improved and if I could only get a homework fairy to come and grade my papers for me, my night would be OUTSTANDING!! Yet since the later won't happen, I'll just settle on doing it myself and being content with the day. emoticon
Have a great night and best wishes!! emoticon emoticon

Where I live in NE PA snow is to be expected even into April. Last year we had plowable snowfall Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr all about on the 14th! This year wouldn't be the first year we were "surprised" by an Easter Blizzard! I'm even welcoming each day it has been in the 50's. emoticon
