At a standstill:(

Friday, March 26, 2010

Today has been an up and down day.
I found out this morning, with a 2 am, call that my hubby was back in the United States, Maine specifically! I was a little too out of it to truly enjoy it until this morning when I got the 6:30 automated call saying that the soldiers were all safe in Wisconsin!!
It was wonderful! emoticon I knew that I would be getting to see him soon:) Later in the day I heard that the Deactivation Ceremony would be at 10 am next Tuesday, another WOO HOO, since it was a little sooner than I expected him to be getting home.
Then my day went downhill. I talked to my Administration about getting time off for the ceremony and it's not looking good. There are very few subs available, more specifically, one left that could possible cover for me. So needless to say I WAS PISSED OFF! Could this really be happening!! Yes it is and I'm trying to stay positive and hope for the best, but I'm dreading the idea of not getting to see my husband when he get off the bus with the rest of the soldiers.
So I'll be praying for a sub and some positive thinking, I'm in need of both:)
Have a good night emoticon

I will keep praying that someone or something will come through for you. Isn't there anyone in the building that could cover for you? I am in a larger district and we cover for each other all the time. Hang in there.

I'm so happy that your husband is back stateside and safe, but I feel terrible that you're worried about not being there for the homecoming :( I pray everything works out and that you get to be there. Good job on trying to stay positive though :)

Thank You husband for me - for his service. And I pray you get the time off to greet him home. God Bless you & your Husband.

Crossing my fingers for you! My husband has been away a long time too and I hate when our reunion is delayed.
