Refocus...stay focused!...

Thursday, April 15, 2010

The past week for me has been very busy! I have been tired pretty much everyday and too preoccupied with all the things going on in life that I slacked off some on my SP plan. I am still motivated to reach all my goals and I am still loving SP so those are 2 ++. However, I think the busy week drained some of my motivation just because I was soo exhausted! And when I get busy I get stressed! And when I get stressed I start snacking(usually not healthy)! So, I am a little bummed out that I let my busy week get the best of me in this area of my life. I was doing good at balancing everything out and making time for myself until a number of things, situations, and problems came in to play(and of course all at once:( I guess instead of squeezing in the new temporary stuff into my day I pushed out the me time(SP and fitness). I'm not going to let it keep me down I just would have liked to have been more productive or should I say been able to do everything! Well I guess I will have to get focused again and I hope and pray that I will stay focused! If anyone has any tips let me know! I really need to learn how to stay balanced and focused even when life gets crazy! Is that even possible?? Hmmm...Well I do know that with Christ all things are possible so I will just have to keep practicing until I get it right! And of course not give up...no matter what:)

Today is a new beginning. Start fresh. Look back only to gain wisdom of what not to do and not to punish yourself for imperfection. We all have our times of failure. No one is perfect. Walking with Jesus is the daily answer. By you admitting your struggles to yourself and to others - is on the way to healing. This is great.

Must be something in the air! My last couple weeks have been full of binge eating, unhealthy eating, not wanting to exercise, etc.
Just remember, we need to keep our eyes on God..He will not lead us astray!
Just pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and get back on track ('m right there with you..picking myself up, dusting myself off, etc.)

Looks like you got some good advice from everyone!! The biggest thing, like MOM2PIPER says is to walk with God. He will get you through!

We all have stressful days and weeks where we don't eat properly or exercise like we should. I am in one now, too. I just start fresh the next day and take it one day at a time. I like the idea of scheduling time for yourself . . whether it be to exercise or to make a healthy meal, schedule time for you and don't feel bad about taking it. We need to take care of ourselves first and foremost! We need to take care of God's temple, our bodies.

It all starts with one small step, one day at a time. You are doing awesome!! Keep up the great work!!! You will get there!!

    God Bless,

Make an appointment with yourself for exercise and keep it. Just like you would a doctors appointment. Pencil it in and schedule everything else around your appointment. That's what I've been doing for the past two months because I found myself in the same boat. Hang in there!

I have had the same kind of week for the last two weeks. I have always been told that
exercise actually makes you feel less hunger. Baloney. I have only been on this fitness plan for two weeks and I have been eating everything that doesn't eat me first.
My snacks are all healthy but still, it is way too much food.

I understand how you feel. I've been doing a lot of emotional eating lately, too. Even though I know what is going on, it's hard to stop the snacking and grazing. But, maybe if we take it one meal, one exercise and one positive day at a time and realize a new beginning can happen at any time, we'll get back on track. Hang in there. -- Lou
