Woot woot! I lost 4 lbs this week! I really don't know how I did it because 1) I'm about to have my montly visit, 2) I haven't been drinking enough water, and 3) I haven't been perfect on program. Go figure! I have been good though...well...ok let's just say I could have done way worse.
I'm having trouble getting my water in. Today at my MRC weigh-in the counselor told me "get rid of your water bottle"....my reaction was "NO WAY...that thing goes everywhere with me!"....and she said "But why don't you drink from it?!?". She has a good point. My beloved water bottle goes everywhere with me, but that's it...its just something I have made a habit of carring around with me. I sip from it now and then, but I don't drink nearly as much as I should. So she said to go to the wholesale club and get a bunch of 16oz bottles of water....each morning drink 1 before I leave the house, take 2 to work, and drink another one at home before bed. Voi la - 64 onuces! I like that idea. I think it caters more to the accounant in me. I can see a beginning and an end and with each bottle I can feel like I've accomplished something. It's all so psychological...but hey, whatever works!!!! I think this will work for me!!!!
Other than the water, I'm doing pretty good. I need to plan better. On my program I'm supposed to have an afternoon 'protein' snack and I almost always forget it. Grr. The other thing is beer...I can go all winter and not drink a thing, but spring/summer comes along...grilling out and spending time outside...I'm all about the cold beer. Beer is definitely NOT on my program. I'll have to find an alternative for the summer for sure!
So...I have a few things to work on, but all in all I think I'm doing good. I'm pretty determined this time. I'm 11.5 lbs away from the 70 lb mark. I'd love to hit that by May 15th and that is SO doable if I can just stick to program!!! Go me!!!
