Great Healthy Pizza Recipe

My hubby and I are trying to swear off all fast food and junk.

Problem is I'm Italian and we love us some pizza! I found a great recipe for homemade pizza that I made the other day.

I substituted the white flour for wheat and made my own sauce with canned tomatoes, tomato paste, and tomato sauce. I blended them all together and it came out great! I also used a bag of frozen mixed vegetables as topping to even add some more healthy stuff to it. It was delicious and my hubby who is super picky LOVED it!

* 3 cups flour (I used wheat flour)
* 2 tsp. yeast
* 1 1/2 cups warm water
* 2 Tbsp. olive oil
* pinch of salt
* 2 Tbsp. Italian seasoning
* 1 big can tomato sauce (or make your own!)
* 2 cups Mozzarella cheese

Directions:

Put the flour, the Italian seasoning, the pinch of salt and mix. Dissolve the yeast in the water and let stand for few minutes till it bubble add the oil to the water mix and than to the flour mix and mix together.

Knead for two minutes and roll out on a floured surface around 10 to 15 inches. No need to oil the backing sheet, there's enough oil in the dough. Put the roll out dough on the sheet and push a little with your hands till thee dough cover the baking sheet.

Cover the dough with the sauce and than put the Mozzarella cheese. (You can add on corn or tuna or marinated artichokes). Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F and bake till the dough is ready around 20-25 minutes, depending on your oven.
