This will be short and sweet tonight, due to the fact I got in later than I expected. I went to a gathering for our women's running group to discuss our experiences from our half marathon and what our running goals and race plans were for the next six months. I ate dinner before I left, so I was not hungry for all the crackers, dips and cream cheese spreads that were being passed around. However, while we there I huge thunderstorm moved into the area and caused some flash flooding of the roads and the basement of the house we were in. We all jumped into action bailing, drying and moving things. Fortunately, there was no major damage to the home. However, the roads were now flooded and we couldn't leave until the waters receded. In the meantime, it was past time for my shake and in the excitement, my munchy monster took over and I confess to having a handful of the most yummy Chex Mix! I knew better than to dive into anything sweet or that munchy monster would just take over! But, yum. I would have a just little twinge of remorse, except this morning I jumped up out of bed at 5:30 and went to the gym to do 40 minutes on the cross trainer before work. YAY, me!
To the food:
4 egg whites + 1 whole egg + 1 whole wheat flat wrap + morning star soy sausage
Very filling and delicious breakfast!
Grilled Chicken + avocado + shredded cabbage + cilantro + red onion + salsa + lime = YUM!
Chocolate protein powder w/instant Colombian Coffee and 6 oz. Fage 0% Greek Yogurt
Mid Afternoon Snack:
Chocolate Protein Shake
Baked Cod + Asparagus + Brown Rice
I just ended the day with my p.m. shake and I'm ready for bed!
