Kickboxing aerobic style

I read a blog today from someone that started SP the same time I did and they were talking about how much they have improved with their fitness level since the beginning. I too feel that is one of my major achievements since I started. I’ve done many different fitness activities in the last 5 months from walking, riding bikes (indoors and out), various fitness classes and kayaking.
In a couple if the fitness classes we were introduced to various exercises each week, so one week we would do aerobics with the bender ball, one week dance aerobics and another kickboxing. I found it very challenging and rewarding and a great way to get exposed to different workouts. The instructor I’ve had for these classes is quite intense and the couple of classes she has shown us kickboxing which was a challenge for me to keep up because she move with such speed and my coordination leaves something to be desired.
I didn’t have the choices I wanted for July classes so I choose Kickboxing to try and conquer it. Tonight was the first night of class and I have to say I did fairly well. I usually get jumbled when she starts with us facing forward and then starts alternating direction with a little hop in the middle. She gets moving so fast that my arms want to do things at a different time than my legs. All in all, tonight I felt quite successful and I’m hoping after a few more classes I will see even more improvement.
Like my classmate – I am doing so much more now than I was when I began and it feels so good to have improved with all that I am doing.
