30th Class Reunion - sort of...

Well I didn’t know until Thursday that the Class if 1980 was holding their class reunion. I don’t think it was planned well and it sounds like a simple gathering at a local pub. My husband graduated with that class and I would have if I hadn’t combined my last two years of high school and graduated the year before. So basically they are still the people I went to school with.

My good friend from school is coming to stay with hubby and I and we will be heading off to the reunion this evening. I hate to admit this, but it isn’t something I’m overly comfortable with. I’m not sure why I feel this way; I just have never been one that feels comfortable in crowds.

However, I will go with my husband and friend and I’m sure we will have a good time. As far as staying with my healthy range – All bets are off.

    I do so understand what you mean!! This year is my 30th class reunion, too. I was pretty shy in school and didn't really have very many friends. I was one of the "nerdy" kids--no make-up, short naturally curly hair while everyone else was going through the long straight phase, saddle shoes and bobby sox while others were wearing hose and flats. And we won't talk about those glasses!! I rarely went to ball games and even more rarely went to dances. Didn't date till I was out of high school, and not anyone I went to school with. Guess I was pretty boring! Class reunions just don't get me excited.

    Hope that you have a good time, though. At least you will have your hubby and friend so it shouldn't be too bad. Let us know how it went.

    I have never attended any of my class reunions; have no desire to do so. I'm not comfortable in large crowds either. Hope you enjoy the evening as much as possible :)
