The Good, the Bad, and oh yeah the Ugly

Thursday, July 22, 2010

I’ll start with the bad that ultimately led to the good. Tonight I went to my Balls of Fitness class and because of a power outage last night the air conditioner had gone out and wasn’t turned back on until tonight. Needless to say the gym was pretty hot and the instructor had to modify the higher impact class to a lower impact version with a bit more strength than cardio.

The good was the lower impact because that was just what I needed since I’m not suppose to be doing the higher impact because of my injured heel. I try to modify to lower impact, but some moves are hard for me to adjust.

I had also discussed with the instructor taking a different class in place of my Tuesday night kickboxing since that one absolutely kills my foot and it is even harder to modify and stay in sync with the rest of the class. She said I could try all her classes and choose what I like.

Now for the ugly… My last blog was about facebook and I believe some people took my meaning wrong. I understand that some people find long lost friends and communicate with people from all over the world. I know that this works well for some people. I was just trying to say that those that use it to plan events should not think everyone that should know about the event is on that site.

I’m an IT manager and understand a lot about computers, settings, privacy the works. I believe people should be careful. That’s all folks…

That's great that instructor will let you try all classes and find the one that will work for you!

Totally agree about FB; you just can't be too careful in my opinion.

Agree about being careful out there...I try to remember to caution SP members who use their real names in their member names: not a good idea! One never knows...!

I totally agree with you! Posting something on Facebook for an event and not at least emailing everybody that you want to come is silly. I would expect at least half the people wouldn't show up because they didn't know about it.

My hubs is in IT and half of his IT buddies aren't on Facebook either.

Wow, interesting topic, shook things up a bit in our little corner of Spark emoticon

I agree with you my friend. FB is good for what it was set up to be...but I do not believe people should rely on it to send out invitations for events such as school reunions, or such. This should be done in a more formal manner. This is also just my opinion..kind of like getting invited to a wedding only if you are a member of Fb of SP ..sounds weird huh?

Have a great day my friend.
