Hula Hoop! Yep!

Friday, July 23, 2010

I was in Walmart the other day & came across a barrel full of "HULA HOOPS". Well of course I had to stop & see if I could still manage to do it. Much to surprise, I never forgot how to. Well it felt so good to me that I was able, after many years.
I remember my kids playing /W/ them & I did also.
Naturally I bought it & I'm having fun /W/ it. I'm short, so I can jump rope /W/ it. The only thing bad about it, is it's so thin & light.
I went on line today & "SHAPE" magazine has a store that U can purchase a weighted one. "Guess What?" You guessed, that I'm buying one, your absolutely correct.
My neighbors think I'm strange already, because they see me walking & punching & kicking & other things. Now they will have another thing to talk about. You know what, I don't care, they should get off there butts & move around. Right! Have a wonderful weekend. Oh I found a workout in "Shape" magazine issue.

Take care my friends,
Love to all

As a kid, I used to play with the hula hoops all the time. Remembering how much fun I had, we bought some for our kids when they were young; back then, when I tried hula hooping, it took me a while to keep the hoop up where it belonged. I also saw them in the stores again and was tempted to buy one just to try it again. I'm not brave enough to try it in the store; of course, if I did, I would give the customers a good laugh. Maybe I'll buy one and practice at home; plus, I'd have it on hand for our young visitors.

Good for you Girl! Sounds fun, too! I wondered about your neighbor, too! I remember a funny story you once told us about your neighbor watching you and thinking you were crazy! LOL

    Have a good one!

So funny! Last year, one of the girls brought a hula hoop to work and everyone gave it a try. I did it as a kid but really wondered if I would be able to do it. No problem. Doing the hula hoop in real life is much easier than keeping that blasted hula hoop going on the Wii Fit LOL. My latest fitness purchase was a commercial grade step platform. I'm loving it and bought the Gin Miller "Simply Step" dvd from Amazon . It is good and a real sweatfest. Hugs to you and have a wonderful week-end. R.

My City actually offers a Exercise class using Hula Hoops, I guess that is a new popular type of workout. Unfortunately, they offer it during the day when I work, otherwise I might check that out.

Have fun keeping that hoop spinning!
