Today was a day off for me. It was such a great day and I didn't even do a whole lot but just felt joy all day.
So I got to thinking - what are the simple joys that I can reflect on when I'm feeling stress and can get back to this happy place I am in today. Overall I'm a happy person but every so often will get a little stress - most of it is from work but I don't like being cranky or non-positive. So I'm making a list of what brings me joy:
**A beautiful sunset
**Being in the mountains and inhaling the pine scent
**Seeing the waves splash against a shoreline
**Having a day off from work
**Smelling a rose
**Getting a text from my niece that says "I love and miss you so much"
**Seeing the scale drop a half pound
**Watching my nephews play basketball or baseball
**Laughing at something silly with my best friend until we cry
**Hearing an old song on the radio that reminds you of an old love
**As much as they drive me nuts when they get in my flower pots - watching the squirrels as they chase each other around the yard
**A tight hug from family and friends
**Playing in the snow
**Seeing my flowers flourish
**A walk in the rain with someone I love
**A rainbow at the end of that rain
