Exciting Week Ahead!

I've got a big week ahead of me, so thought I would blog my goals so that I may hold myself more accountable in reaching them.
My friend and I get to meet the trainer who we've been working with for about 9 months. We do his dvds and he is travelling to meet some of us. This is incredibly exciting for me, but also has me feeling a little nervous! For obvious reasons, I want to look and perform my best as he is going to lead us and our friends in an outdoor bootcamp in the park. So, I have to have some goals in mind for staying on track this week.
1. I will drink a gallon of water each day to flush out my weekend sugar binge and keep myself hydrated and ready to go all week.
2. Going to keep to low carb/high protein to reduce water weight. I will probably throw a couple high carb days in there because (stupidly) I also signed up for a 5k race this week. I do need to keep my energy up, too! I thought about not showing up, but I am not a quitter. I can do this.
3. I plan to run 3 miles tonight. This will be the end of my 5k "training" and my race will be what it is. I would rather feel ready for the weekend. I will do some strength training tonight and then again on Wednesday night. I'll run my race on Thursday and take Friday off. Saturday morning will be bootcamp in the park!
Mostly I want to feel confident and ready to take on the challenge of this bootcamp! It's going to be a fun, busy week!
