It is a tested fact that lack of sleep effects weight gain and weight lose. Getting a good night sleep should be a priity. I think investing in a comfortable place to sleep is important, you spend a third of your life in your bed make it a good place to be. I am very frugal but I believe spending a little more on quality products for sleep is important. 100 percent cotton sheets, satine in the summer and flannel in the winter, heated mattress pad to warm up my bed before I get in it, king size bed, egg create foam pads, quality mattress and box spring and pleasant decor all help insure a good night sleep. I also have a fan and a sound machine that give me the sound of rain falling to fall asleep to, I dent allow food,tv or the computer in the bedroom. It is strictly for storing cloths , and sex. Try to make sleep a sound investment for you.
