An Unintentional Spark

Last week I was online at the grocery store...and the cashier (who was a young woman who was overweight) commented on my healthy grocery items asking me, "Do you really eat this stuff? And then picking up a less common vegetable she asked me, "What do these taste like, are they good?" And then we got into a conversation where I told her of some ways to prepare it (it was a Jicama).
Somewhere in our conversation I mentioned that I'd recently lost 50 pounds and her jaw dropped, "REALLY??? I would love to do that...but I just can't drop the weight." Then she asked the magical question, "HOW DID YOU DO IT???"
And I told her about Spark People. She hastily wrote down the web address on a scrap of paper and said she would be coming here also, to "check it out."
I don't know if she did or not, but that is one of probably twenty similar conversations I've had recently, many of them with people who commented on my weight loss and who I hope, someday will catch the spark. Wouldn't it be great if it was from ME?
