Starting Over for the Thousandth Time

Saturday, November 06, 2010

Guess there are lots of us to start over but I wish I could just stick with it for a longer period of time. I am finding it much harder to stay on track since I now do not live alone. When I was single I brought into the house only what I could eat and now that the husband lives here that isn't so. How do I not eat those snacks he has??? I have no will power evidently. I also do fine until after dinner meal and want to eat until bedtime. GOT TO WORK ON THAT!!!

Walked for an hour today and hope to continue exercise most days. We'll see how that goes. I am doing the exercise for my weight and for my back pain. We'll see how long we can do this streak! STREAK DAY 1- some exercise each day.

Wish I knew how to increase my will power about choices! I love to eat and I love sweets and country cooked fat items. I am not really way overweight but need to lose about 30 more pounds for my health.

As "Workoutwithpam" says, this is a journey. The road is very seldom straight and unfortunately we run into stop signs and detours now and then. Probably the most important thing is not to give up. From there you can begin those baby steps and the steps will get bigger and bigger.

You can do this, you really can...one step at a time! I wish you the best on your journey.

This is a 'journey'...a 'journey' to better health and fitness. You have stayed on the journey...you've just run into a few 'bumps' and 'curves' along the way (well maybe more than a few...since you say this is your 'Thousandth Time'). Just teasing with you!

Since you have started back to exercising, work on that 'baby step' until it becomes a habit. Don't worry about the other steps, which is drinking 8 glasses of water and cutting back on calories, until you have accomplished making exercise a habit.

Once a 'baby step' is accompished and worked into one's routine, it changes our way of thinking about the other two steps. Save the healthy eating step for the last step. By the time you've accomplished the other two steps, you will notice that you are feeling better, and you may begin to actually WANT to cut back on calories by cutting out most or all of the unhealthy foods.

A lot of the eating of unhealthy foods is also just a habit. As you acquire more healthy habits, you may find that it is easier to kick the junk food habit. Try it and see! You have nothing to lose but inches and weight!

YOU CAN DO IT! BEST WISHES in reaching all of your goals.

    HUGS
