Whats up with me, you ask?

Well, Thanksgiving was awesome. Although my turkey was done 2 hours before I wanted it to be (I used a roaster oven instead of regular oven) so the whole family kicked into high gear and got everything else ready in record time. It was kinda fun but we ate early so it felt kind of rushed. My sister and I went for a walk and we all played games on the Kinect. We had a really nice day.
My neices (31, 27 and 19) were going shopping at the mall at midnight with my girls (24 and 20) so I decided to go. It was crazy!! LOL. We met some great people in line waiting to go in, had a sing off, (seriously!) and shopped for a few hours, went to Kohls (stood in line for an hour) where we literally were 1 second away from coming to blows with a crazy woman when security stepped in. Apparantly, she is a problem becuase they knew her!!), shopped there and got great deals, went to breakfast and fell into bed at 7:30AM!
I tell you that to tell you this: I could not have done that a year ago. I was on my feet for hours, stayed up all night and felt great the next day. Progress!!
Had family things going on til yesterday so my food intake has not been stellar over the last few days. Yesterday, Frank and I went for a walk with the Baby (stitchy) and I noticed my knee was feeling kinda clicky. It would catch when I walked so I just slowed down a bit and did 2 miles. By the time I got home, it felt swollen inside and every time I got up for the rest of the night, it would suddenly catch and I almost fell. So I took an ibuprofen and went to bed.
This morning, it is just as bad. It worries me cause this is my replaced knee and my surgeon told me I would be prone to infections. Great.
I am going to call my dr. today and try to get in asap and see what is going on. I am going to walk carefully (I have to go to our jobsite and get permits etc today).
Basically, I am not going to do an official weigh in until Thursday. I can feel the sodium in my body and am drinking lots of water. I tracked my food all weekend (except thanksgiving) and I went over a few days and I know I went over on Thursday but that is ok. Life happens and I am on track starting yesterday. I see how easy it would be to go back to eating the old way when there is so much temptation in my house. I just dont keep things like that in the house anymore, It was pretty easy to just eat a bite of this and a bite of that and to snack graze all the day long. And by the way? Fudge has no place in my life anymore. I will do my best until Christmas when the baked goods are out in force, trying to derail me.
I am going to Reno for a few days at the end of the week and am going prepared. It is for a racing meeting that we hold annually, lots of alcohol, not enough food. We always eat breakfast and usually make it to dinner but otherwise, not so much food. I am bringing luna bars and some other healthy snacks including apples, rice cake snacks and almonds so I can keep my blood sugars steady. Will limit the alchohol to the evening intead of all day long, will drink water during the day and get outside for a brisk walk a few times a day. The meeting is in the hotel/casino so it is not uncommon to go outside for days at a time. They also have a gym so I will try to get there a day or 2. Not to mention the dancing!
Man, I hope this knee thing is an easy fix. Will let you know what happens with that.
Hope you are all well and are back on track today, too!
