THINKING "POSITIVE" IN THE NEW YEAR!

Monday, January 03, 2011

HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone and my best wishes to all of you for continued success and many new friendships that blossom throughout the coming days!
Since my last blog in early November, my life has been a myriad of trials and tribulations that have taken my focus off myself. Today, I stepped on the scale for the first time in months and was somewhat relieved to see a weight gain of only 9 pounds. I thought it was going to be much worse. Weight is once again a problem, but not as insurmountable as it once was. I know that I have the ability and the support I need right here, but more importantly, I have changed my attitude.
This year is going to be different as far as what I want to accomplish. My number one focus is going to be changing "negatives" into "positives"! I believe that this type of focus is what I really need to work on in the New Year. Instead of listing a number of resolutions, I will instead look at these problems and see them vanishing before my eyes. I will not allow pity or negativity to infiltrate my thoughts and future dreams and aspirations. I believe in karma and it's power to either help or hinder us. Therefore, my only resolution for this New Year is to THINK POSITIVE and the rest will all fall into place.
I have already seen how feeling this way can affect my life. My positive attitude toward my daughters well being has paid off. Every issue we were concerned about is gone and she is happy and healthy as we enter 2011. I felt a positive energy about her future and I am happy to say that these thoughts have become a reality. It may sound crazy but I truly believe in the merits of this kind of attitude. Negativity can only bring you down and make you feel weak and out of control in my opinion. Maintaining a positive attitude will sometimes be a struggle and I know it will require work on my part, but it is definitely the one thing I want to focus on accomplishing in 2011. In this way I will see my life in a new light and will be able to cope with any problems that arise with positive energy and deal with them more effectively. So there you have it, my new motto is "THINK POSITIVE". Again, Happy New Year everyone!
