I'll show them!

Friday, January 07, 2011

So if you've read my previous blog about the pushy people at the gym you'll be relieved to k ow that I did get my refund on the personal training! Yay! But the guy doing the refund was looking over my chart and said that I won't be able to reduce my body fat % without the help of a personal trainer...what a butt face! I know there would be great benefits to having the trainer but to say I won't achieve anything without one really made me pissed off ( sorry if that offends anyone ). Well I went back today did a good 30 min of cardio and another 30 with strength. Now I'm no dummy and will only be doing strength x3 a week and am really looking forward to zumba ( I even know the instructor and have taken his class before ). I am more determined then ever to show this guy just exactly what I'm cable of doing alone! I lost 30+ lbs alone I can do this, just you wait!

Wow, what a jerk! There are a million resources available other than a super-expensive personal trainer that will give you the information and motivation you need. You're never really on your own :) Good luck!

You have got to be kidding!!! This person isn't god how rude. Sweetie you can def do this on your own. Let them stare when you reach your goals. This person needs to learn that intimidation isn't the right way to sell.

I'm sorry you had a bad gym experience. In defense of "used car salesmen" at the gym- some of us get yelled at by our bosses on a weekly basis for NOT being pushy enough. It's a no-win situation. If you care about, you don't bring in enough money for the business- if you care about money, you insult and push around the people you are trying to help.

I know from personal experience AND my experience working in a gym and as a trainer that you CAN do it alone. 30 lbs so far is amazing- keep up your hard work!

You will be able to this!! I had the same thing happen to me when I entered a gym a few years ago and I got roped into personal trainer who charged $280 for 3 sessions. I thought it was ridiculous. They signed me up for it and didn't even ask if I could do this and I was worried about it all day and night and finally just went back and said I didn't want it and that I just wanted to use their exercise equipment. Everytime I went I felt they were giving me the stink eye because I refused them. I didn't feel comfortable going anymore and I wanted them to stop withdrawing the payment from my bank account and they said I was under a contract and the only way they could stop was for medical issues. So basically I had to go to the bank and close my account and open a new one. It was ridiculous. Anyways, I wish you the best of luck and don't worry about what they say or do.....you can do this..don't let them bully you!! emoticon emoticon
