Sooooo many good things going on right now! I like it! I like it a lot! Where to start? These will not be in order of importance, just in the order they come to mind. I met with two new friends/clients in the gym this week! I love helping others learn that they are much stronger than they even imagined. I love seeing that "I got this!" look in their eyes. It always feels good to have a plan and know that you CAN work the plan!
When I walked into the Aerobics Studio at lunch time to teach yoga, the room was chilly. It was snowing like crazy outside. The room has a wall of mirrors which we face and a wall of windows behind us! It was chilly, but beautiful! I knew I had to warm us up quickly and keep our bodies moving. I put a more up tempo CD in the player and started us out in a beautiful flow of motion. This ended up being my favorite class. There was great attendance and everyone was on board for the more fluid flow of the motion. I lead them through a flow of Warrior poses, into side angle, into triangle pose and back into a warrior cycle. Then we did some Up Dog, to plank, to down dog, into crescent pose, ending the cycle in pigeon pose. It just felt so good today. Everyone seemed to enjoy it and I got great feed back.
Between teaching yoga, helping women with weight lifting, helping them set goals and come up with a plan to reach that goal . . . I know I want to do more of this. I am making it a goal to pursue a position at a health club. I want this. More than anything. I want this.
I am so excited, things are really shaping up for the Fabulous Fitness forum that I started first as a way to share fitness and nutrition information on Facebook and then as a team here on Spark. I LOVE the members of the team! I love checking in on their blogs and pop into the coffee house thread and the locker room thread on a regular basis to see what everyone is chatting about. The team isn't one of those that has a lot of hoops you have to jump through or weight loss challenges. It is a team of women (currently only women, though not exclusive), who each have their own set of goals and come together to encourage, motivate, inspire and support each other. It is also a place where they feel comfortable asking questions and giving suggestions to each other for exercise DVD's, recipes, music, etc. I like it, I like it, I like it a lot! I am inspired by the addition of Rachelle (BNSPRD), she and I share a lot of the same vision for the future of how we can use our experiences of the past year to share the message that "IF I can do this! You can too!" We want to share the recipes we have used, the workouts we have used and things that have motivated and encouraged us. There are big plans for 2011 to get that information to the most people possible.
I'm almost done. I promise! But there is just so many good things going on! I am loving the 12 week transformation program that I am using as my workout. I love the energy and strength that I am feeling! I'm feeling my muscle strength amping up and I'm feeling that metabolism boost that makes ya know that what your are doing is working! When you have faith in what you are doing, how can that not lead to success?!!
The hours this week have been long, working the job that pays the bills, and doing the things I love after my day job! Dinners at 8 pm, late nights studying, reading, writing and planning. It is exciting and I try to stay focused on each task at the moment I need to deal with that task and not concern myself with anything that is not happening in that moment. I am encouraged that this transition time has a day in the not so distant future that it will be ending.
Oh, yea! And don't even think that I'm too busy to take care of me! That ain't happening! LOVE my meal plan today!!!! So much so I will repeat it tomorrow!!! I felt satisfied and on track all day! My water intake has been amazing lately! The pounds are dropping! I want to wait another week before I update my weight loss. Exercise has been good or more than good. I'm getting in my scheduled workouts, plus a few, and I'm working out with my clients (I do fewer reps and use lighter weights than I normally would). 100% compliance!
I have my plan in place to get in tomorrow's workout in, without taking away from my time with my hubby. He has been gone for over a week and I miss him so much. I will get up early tomorrow morning and do my weight lifting at home before work. This way I can come home from work and spend time getting all spiffed up for my honey. I like to meet him at the door and my goal is to make him glad he is home.
Be bold! Be brave! Be fierce! Be fabulous! Live a life in beautiful balance!
