Visit to Clay Casa
Sunday, January 30, 2011
Last Wednesday Amber and I went to Clay Casa for the first time. Some of you have heard me suggest this place as a meet up. You can bring your children, or come alone. The last Thursday of every month is Ladies Night, which I think would be a lot of fun.
When we arrived we were greeted and invited to look around for a piece that we wanted to paint. Prices averaged from around $7 - $40, depending on the size. Then we were told to choose up to 4 colors each, along with brushes or sponges (you can share colors too), have a seat and get started! Amber chose a kitty cat and I chose a small vase. We spent about 1.5 hours painting and had a great time. Amber wasn't happy that we had to leave our pieces to be fired. It takes about a week before they call and let you know it's ready to be picked up.
There is a studio fee of $5 for children and $10 for adults to cover the cost of paint etc.,, but you can print out a 1/2 off coupon on the website (Even though the date is wrong they will take it. They are in process of updating their site).
Anyway, Amber and I had a fun time and hope to do it again soon. Christy (TurtleMom) sent me an email with info for another place which I am going to on Feb 23. If you are interested shoot me a message and I will send you the details! Click the link below to visit the site.
