Changes I WASN'T expecting....

Well for a start I wasn't expecting to gain 1 kg in a week.
When I first weighed myself this morning many thoughts went through my head:
"Moving house is stressful, let alone moving cities. In less than a week"
"Have I really been eating more?"
"Maybe my tracker's wrong (blame SP!!!)"
"Maybe I haven't been logging everything??" (I have btw)
"Ughh how could I let this happen."
"Time to seriously look at what I need to cut out of my diet."
"And increase my weekly fitness minutes."
"Wait I have been eating in range and exercising more than usual....WTF"
Then I was doing some reading on SP's new fitness stuff (thanks FRESHSTART for bringing it to my attention!!) and I realised what may be going on.
I have shifted from a hilly (like really no flat surfaces) environment where I walk everywhere (Wellington) to a large flat city (Christchurch) where when you do walk it is flat and not very challenging to a body used to walking up and down myriad hills and steps many times a day. The walking I do here is not nearly as effective as the walking my body has become accustomed to in the past year. LIGHTBULB!!!
So my plan for this week is to mix it up a bit. Swimming three times a week. Stationery cycling three times a week AND walking to school and usual flexy exercise and ST. Just to see. Wish me luck (and encouragement is welcome)!!!
