Too Restless to Rest...

Well...it will officially end here today I guess. I challenged myself to follow along with John "The Penguin" Bingham's 100 Days of Exercise Challenge back in January. I wanted to go as far as I could, but in the back of my mind I knew eventually I would likely have to back off when I started HM training. I am in my 2nd week of training now and to avoid injury, I know now is the time to back off. I am inclined to be very disappointed in myself, very hard on myself....but I know this is for the best and I logically know I did not quit....I have exercised consistently now for 58 days straight with at least 30 min. each day, but most an hour or sometimes more. Now is the time to start utilizing my rest days to stay healthy....especially with my foot and knees not at their best. So today is rest....and all it has done is make me ridiculously restless...oh the irony,lol. I think I will do yoga though...that seems to help EVERYthing. I will be continuing with my strength training plan 2x/week and continue to push harder there as I progress. That and the yoga seem to be perfect partners with my walk/run training. Just trying to keep it all in perspective I guess : ) Something exciting I just found out about...they are going to have a Mud Run in my neck of the woods(first ever) and I am stoked about that....has anyone done one? I am going to scrimp and save so I can kick up some mud, sounds sooo fun....I really want to do a Warrior Dash, but that will likely be next year when I am closer to goal and can save funds to travel. Well...I'm off to...rest...hmmpphh,lol.
