Did the groundhog really say Spring?

On Saturday my husband and I were out getting some shopping done and trying to decide what to have for dinner. The weather was overcast, but with mild tempertures. After a long winter I thought why not cook on the grill and sit out back and have a fire in the ciminea. This is one of my favorite relaxing past times. I enjoy the train going along the hill that is across the river from us. The gardens are always changing and quite beautiful. We even have a view of a baseball field and many evenings while cooking dinner on the grill we sit and enjoy a game.
I realize that March 5th is very early in the seasonto be enjoying my garden, but I did see my iris's peeping up. The rest of the garden was in need of the spring clean up, but it all gave me hope of Spring.
I wish we could have captured the picture as I saw it from my point, I had the fire burning, some decorative lights and snow down in the ball field. It was an enjoyable evening.
And then the storm came dropping over a foot of snow. The picture I have of the chiminea isn't a good example of how much we got because it is protected by an everygreen tree. However, if you look at the azalea bush to the right you can barely see it in this picture.
It was a long dig out process this morning. I'm now covered in a blanket trying to take the chill out of my bones. Work has been delayed since there is a state of emergency. Woo Hoo
