Back on Track

It's been a long winter, but I'm ready to put it all behind me now. I decided that I'm going to stick with it this time. Not just to lose weight, but to feel better physically and also to feel better about myself.
My terrible eating habits over the winter felt good while I was eating the food, but I had so little energy and it would make me feel really crappy physically. I knew I was really just hiding my emotions under a pile of food.
So last Saturday, I sat down and planned the whole week's menu. Every meal and snack and everything. So far, it's been working out really well. I've had to make some small adjustments here and there, like I ate 6 dark chocolate kisses today instead of 4, but I left a lot of wiggle room so I wouldn't feel trapped.
I really want to stick with it this time. I feel like I'm ready now.
