I gained weight?

I'm doing well with sticking to my calories. I really dread having to plan out my whole week's food, but I'm so glad that I do. It makes sticking within my calorie range so much easier.

I did go overboard on Sunday when I went down to my mom's. She always has a huge stock of candies, cakes, chips, and all sorts of bad for you things, and I guess I just couldn't help myself. I even brought some Swiss Rolls home with me! (I did manage to fit one into my food yesterday without going over, though!)

My problem is that I've gained weight since I started! I gained about 3 pounds! I'm not sure if it's because I'm drinking more, or maybe because of a cold I got, or what. But it's very frustrating and almost made me throw in the towel yesterday.

I'm going to stick with it, though. I know this works if you just keep with it and let the process work.

    Thanks for your encouragement, guys. I'm going to stick with it, because you're right; I don't like being overweight and it's better to stick with this than it is to be uncomfortable in my body.

    I know how you feel when it comes to going over to my mom's house. She of course has tons of food, snacks, meals that she has cooked, and "extra" groceries that she bags up for me to take with me. Pretty much the best way to deal (at least for me anyway) is to not go there hungry!
    Whatever you do, don't give up! Whenever I think about giving up I always say
    "Hmmm.. I could give up now.. but I know that I am not happy with my weight and eventually I will have to start dieting again. When that day comes I will wish I had kept going!"
    Ok that might sound weird but it works for me!

    It's been documented that the cold virus aids weight gain. Keep up with drinking the water to flush that nasty thing out of your system!

    It can be many different factors. Sometimes if I stray with sweets, I gain. I guess my body is not used to the sweets. Hang in there, you'll see a loss next time!
