I have been very inconsistent lately. I have reasonable goals, I know what I CAN do, yet I am making excuses (I'm too tired, I'll wake the baby, I have chores to do, etc). Well...DH finally realized HE gained some baby weight too.* We have a trip planned to go home to California in less than a month and see all of our families (and Desmond will finally meet everyone!) and he decided he would like to lose 10 pounds before we go. Thing is, he has time, and isn't worried about how the house looks and isn't home entertaining the baby. He asked me to put him on a "diet" and asked me to run with him on days that he is home when I get home from work. He has also agreed to do a workout video with me a couple times a week. I feel so much more motivated now that he is in it with me. I think there will be less temptation and (hopefully) we will keep each other on track and not tapper out after a couple weeks! We've also signed up for a 5K in May, the weekend before we leave, so we have a reason to keep it up. Crossing my fingers that this will improve my consistency!

*for the record, I've lost the baby weight, I am back to working on what I had been working on before I was prego

    That is awesome!!! It is nice to have some motivation in your own home! One thing--- don't be surprised when he loses really fast! Men just lose MUCH faster than women do usually! You guys are gonna do this!!!

    Glad to hear that this is going to be your motivation. That's great that you guys can both work together on diet an exercise. Way to go on loosing the baby weight!!! You can do it girlie!!!! (:
