A Kid At Heart
Monday, April 25, 2011
I hope all my Spark Friends had a Blessed, meaningful Easter holiday. It is so awesome to know we can have victory over all things through CHRIST.
I started the day off by taking my mom to the cemetary where we planted a daffodil plant for my dad and lit the eternal candle.
Next stop was my sister's house with 20 family members. Of course the first thing on the agenda was to eat - lots of fresh vegetables to go with the ham and I am pleased to be able to blog - no chips and dips this year, but a platter of grapes and strawberries.
Thank goodness the weather cooperated with only a few rain showers throughout the day which did not interupt the kids outdoor activities, which included all the kids using the jump ropes I had put in their Easter beach pails. I did get my jump rope time in, in fact my SIL even gave it a try.
I sure did get lots of fitness activity in including chasing my 2 year old great niece around the yard, going down the slide with her, and attempting to climb a tree. As her dad and I were walking I happened to mention that I couldn't keep up like I used to and how much I enjoyed watching them play with their own children as I used to do with them - My nephew was quick to remind me I was still a kid at heart, thus the title of this blog.
