Vamos a la casa de Bruce Wayne!

I remember in Spanish class listening to this phrase over and over again...Vamos a la casa de Bruce Wayne and the teacher barking out the order Repitan! And we all would say it mimicing the voice on the tape recorder. Considering Spanish was my first language, I speak the language miserably but I always remember Vamos ala casa de Bruce Wayne! when it is time to go somewhere.

This morning I got on the scale and I had gained 2 pounds. I wanted to be indignant and upset after all I've biked my little tail off this week, but I also ate anything and everything I wanted to...not a good thing to do with Easter candy around. Somehow believing that extra time spent on the bike would burn cookies, crackers, chips and pie. But I couldn't really feel cheated out of my weight loss...a voice in my head simply "Repitan!" Track calories, track fitness, drink water. Repitan!

I went to the store and bought a Britta water bottle. Thank you Britta for solving my water dilemna! I've had over 5 glasses of water today and feel pretty certain I will make my 8 maybe even 10 because it is just so easy to fill up.

I did not pack my lunch and as I was rushing to my next appointment I pulled into Taco Bell. Old habits die hard and I slipped back into not thinking about calories, portions, etc. Now it is almost dinner time and I'm still on the road. Probably won't be home until nearly 8pm and I've learned it is not good to do therapy on an empty stomach. As I was walking into the grocery store I kept thinking "I want something yummy!" A very small voice in the back of my head said "repitan...please." I sat down and entered in all my calories for the day on my BB app. I have 331 calories left today. Suddenly I went from wanting something yummy to eat for dinner to wanting something yummy and under 300 calories. I got an apple for the something yummy and a kid's lunchable under 300 calories.

As I was getting in my car I thought again, how these Spark Tools really work well together when you use them. Tonight I will make sure I get my 30 minutes of exercise in so I can track it in my fitness minutes, but until then, "Vamos a la casa de Bruce Wayne!"

    Sometimes it's easy to think that when we cycle, we can fuel how we want, rather than how we should. You can get back to where you want to be headed, go for it! emoticon
