So this is my first attempt at a public blog. I've been keeping a personal blog--on and off--for a couple years. I've been ashamed to post anything publicly. I think shame is a common feeling for those trying to lose weight. But here I am! I joined this site because of all the support it offers, and I want to take advantage of as much as I can.
One thing I struggle with is getting down on myself. I figured I can continue ruminating or really try to change my mindset. In order to do so, I just bought a whole bunch of books from Amazon on the following topics: happiness, mindfulness, meditation, motivation, affirmations, visualization, etc. I started the book on mindfulness today. If you aren't aware of it, mindfulness is in short being aware of your feelings. Observing them and letting them go, but not stewing in them. I recommend people look into it if interested.
This is like my third day on this site. My goal tomorrow is to start using the nutrition tracker, as I have been putting it off.
