Progress Report

Four weeks ago, I saw a personal trainer for the first time. She recorded my body fat, weight and took measurements. She did a fitness assessment and tested my strength and flexibility.

Here is what my numbers were last month:

Weight: 144
Body Fat %: 26.4%
Lean Body Mass: 105 lb
Fat Mass: 39 lb
Pushups: 23
Situps: 36
Flexibility: 11

Here is what my numbers are today:

Weight: 142 - (I was a little disappointed and thought I could have done better than 2 lbs in one month)
Body Fat %: 24.7 - (down 1.7% - this made me happy, especially when I heard that I was down a total of 2.5 inches with 1.75 inches being off my waist.)
Lean Body Mass: 107 lb - (this is a GAIN of 2 pounds of muscle!)
Fat Mass: 35 lb - (this is a LOSS of 4 lbs of body fat!)
Pushups: 30 - (Increase by 7!)
Situps: 49 - (increase by 13)
Flexibility: 10 ( decrease by 1).

So, I am pretty happy about my gains and losses for the last month. I know how hard I worked, and being honest with myself, know that I could work a lot harder and could have made even better progress. I am going to keep my nutrition program the same and work a little harder on my strength training program, making sure to be getting in my cardio and core work as well. I also need to work on doing more stretching to improve my flexibility.

Next month, I get to "max out" on the strength machines and get a good record of how strong I am! I look forward to that.
