The Crazy Weekend Ahead
Saturday, May 14, 2011
Hi all!
Thanks again for the lovely feedback. I can't wait to read the comments on this one!
So, today is my birthday celebration. It won't be very big, but as long as a few people have time to chill with me, that's awesome. (A lot of my friends go home to their parents on the weekend, or live in different boroughs)
This morning, I was supposed to weigh myself, but I still don't have a scale, so I'll wait til tomorrow. I was also going to shopping for the End of the Year Event that's happening tomorrow, but thankfully the shopping trip was canceled and I got to SLEEP :D Mmmmmm....
In a bit, I'm going to force myself out of bed, have some oatmeal (hopefully with my roomie), and hop on the A train to Fulton Street, so I can get to my volunteering post. I facilitate an English Conversation Group for the We Are New York Program, which is run out of the Mayor's office. They give volunteers a plan, a post (usually a school where children's parents need help with English), and some lovely immigrants to educate.
When I'm done there, the 1,2,3 line is going to bring me to 23rd, where I will eat FABULOUS vegan food with my suitemate. Then we might walk over one of the bridges for funsies, but I hope we eventually end up back home so that I can do some homework before seven, which is when I'm meeting with people downstairs to go bowling, and then to the cast party from a play in which I did not participate. hahaha Oh well, it's in a public place and I *saw* the play, so I should be good. Plus, a few of my friends were in it.
Tomorrow, I'm picking up my sister at Penn Station, then we're helping with that event I mentioned, and then I hope to do homework or to make that poor girl do stuff to spend time with me. *gasp*
AND MONDAY IS OUR BIRTHDAY.
Hopefully my friends will surprise me with a free dinner party. That's our thing at the dorms. Fingers crossed they don't forget about me just because I kind of had my own party.
Have a great new Spark week.
FIVE PERCENT!
Love,
Julia
