Ha wasn't planning on triplets

Tuesday, May 17, 2011

Well I got pregnant and had triplets in February. Now I am 40 lbs over what I was, with stretch marks going from my chest to my knee pits, and lots of extra skin. I would take my 170 lb body back any day! But I can't. So I have to make do with what I have.

Yesterday I started weight watchers. In my life this has been the only thing that has every really worked. However I stopped after a month or two and never got to my goal. Weighing now at 208 I am scared. I have to lose the weight but am nervous because I have failed every other time. What will be different this time? I need something to click. Something to push and motivate me. You think my babies would but...they are taking all my money and time. Which means I have to figure out free workouts, cheap healthy food, and time to make meals, excercise, keep up w/ what I am eating.

What will be different this time? I don't know, but I think once I figure it out...I will be good to go. How do I figure it out though?

    Congrats on your babies :)

I also asked myself that question, 'what will be different this time'. I think it is important to fully realize why we want to lose weight and we need to remind ourselves of it constantly. It really helps it all sink in.

You're a really busy mom now, obviously, and that has to be so tough. Please try to find a little time for yourself, so YOU can motivate YOURSELF. That's what will keep you going.

Congrats on your babies! That is awesome! My advice to you is to enjoy your little ones, as they will be big before you know it. Also, try not to stress too much about your weight at this point. You are busy enough with your little ones. Just try to eat healthy, and take time for yourself when you can. hang in there! This busy phase with babies will pass before you know it. Keep a journal about their little changes, and find joy in the simple things. Good luck!

Track your food and as for exercise you can do it while your babies sleep. Just start out with about 5-10 minutes at a time. Even if it is just standing there twisting like a washer it will get you sweating. As for weights you can use your babies for the upper arms and they will also get time with mommy and will enjoy it too. If you have a stroller that will fit all of them then you can go for a walk and they will enjoy that too. Plus it will also put them to sleep too.
