Meditation while walking

I'm back from my now daily walking routine.
Few days ago, I came across an article about meditation and different ways of introducing meditation in your every day activities. I've being practicing Yan Xin Qigong for years now, but never thought about doing it while walking.

Anyway, there was explanations in that article on how to apply meditation techniques to walking, things like focusing on your feet, on the different stage of every step, on the sensation that walking brings to you whole body and so on.
So I did try this morning to stay focus on my feet
Since I do walk with music in my ear, I found it very difficult to keep the attention on my feet only. But still, I kept on bringing back the focus on my soles, and toes as often as I could.
I can't say that I really saw a difference - it's much too early for that and I wasn't aware more than 10% of the time, but still, I do believe that in the long run, it might changes things for me, making me more aware of the benefit of both concentration and walking daily.
Those are activities I do enjoy a lot. Having music on helps me keep a good pace (I even run a few minutes today

), walking makes me feel good about myself, more in control and active while meditation nurture my soul!
What else can a Lady wants???
