oopsie daisy!

Saturday, June 04, 2011

Yesterday morning: I used Leslie Sansone's dvd -- did a 30 min. segment including weights, than did the middle part (the hardest stuff) again and did it faster, harder than she asked. Then I grabbed a shovel & rake & tackled the very deep, very hard, hard, hard top soil that had been shoved off to the edge of the road after the mudslide. Tough, nasty, dry, solid dirt. Using my new muscles! Then I tossed a bunch of dead trees, limbs & debris over the fence, out of our "yard" onto a less visible part of our property. Took 3 hours.

DH said, "Wanna go to town for lunch?" Y-E-S! As fast as I could, I whipped off my clothes to take a fast shower. Then I realized, I'd pulled off my shorts off ----without unzipping, unsnapping and unbuttoning them (these are very "secure" shorts...they have 3 fasteners!) They'd slipped right off over my hips & behind......without my realizing it--- until they were on the floor.

Hmmmmm.....seems like they're too big now......

Stuff that is easy to digest. Like Sock described. Nothing with too strong a flavor or too out of the ordinary. It's not the time for riders to try something new, or at least that's what I've been reading as I study up on prepping for a century.

I'm so very happy for you! I do wonder though my dear friend if you need to be working so hard outside like you do. Seems like a huge amount of strain on the body. I suppose you are a bit ofa dynamo though that can't do anything slow and steady. Just guessing.... Hugs to you. I'm pleased your mud situation has resolved somewhat and also that you have a hubby that says, "wanna go get a bite in town?" That's sweet!
