YIKES!!!

First Blog Ever in my life!

I'm a little nervous to blog AND put my food and exercise trackers out there, but it is time. I'm a pretty private person so it feels a little unnatural just to throw my business "out there", but growth requires a certain amount of uncomfortableness and uncertainty. So here goes!

I need help getting back on track with my food and fitness. I've done a fairly good job of tracking and I made a commitment to myself to be honest. My awareness has skyrocketed, but it hasn't really motivated me to make better choices. I still binge eat - badly!

So this is my effort to have a little more accountability. I may not be embarrassed to log the 3 (yes 3!) donuts that I ate last night privately, but I sure as heck would think twice if I knew people might see that!

So here's to uncomfortableness AND accountability!

    I have to do the same thing Ra, Now starting today, I will be journaling every mouthful. We've got to be accountable. I'm determined to learn "Everything in Moderation" emoticon

    I'm the same way!! I'm the type of person that will eat healthy in front of people and then have a private binge later on..or log my healthy eating and avoid posting the less healthy foods. It's true that logging everything you eat gives you accountability because saying "I have no idea why i'm not losing any weight!" won't apply anymore lol. That's the reason why I decided to publicize my log too. Great job on putting it all out there, it's a bold move and only a person ready and willing to make changes does that. emoticon

    Even taking the step to log those 3 donuts is a step in the right direction. If you don't track what you eat because you feel guilty, the only one you're hiding it from is yourself, and that is hurtful.

    You're worth being honest to yourself!

    I decided to share my food and fitness trackers, too. Like you, I feel as though it will make me more accountable for my actions.

    You're so brave! I'm still embarrassed when I log a binge, but I'm just proud that I'm doing it.

    Sharing it is a big step that I don't know if I'm ready for, but am so proud of you for taking!

    It's all good. We're here to help, not judge. If you're having problems with weight loss, there isn't much anyone can do to help if you don't share your intake. So this is a big step in the right direction.
