Who's a tiny bit excited! Ten pounds yea which means I can get my hair done
DONE girl dance.
Okay so that was a little exciting since I'm currently dealing with a visit from Aunt Flo so i for sure thought my weight would be near the same 256 or around 250 but nope 246 ( after i took my sweats off, geez i did not know my sweats weighed like 3 pounds)!
So what have I been doing:
I run on the elliptical 35-45 min depending on where I'm at in the movie :-) 5x a week
I use the nutrition calculator and try to hit the lower end of my calorie range. I try to leave about a 200 calories left a day just in case i forgot to add something.
I attempt to have a free day, which i still track but not religiously.
My other thing is I only drink 6 glasses of water a day. I know it says eight but here's the deal ( half of my family is medical people/nurses/doctors/etc) While water may make you full and help weight loss drinking too much water can actually be harmful for your kidneys in the long run. The study that was done where they got the 8 cups of water a day was misinterpreted as you need to drink eight cups a day, but what the study said was NO MORE then 8 cups a day. That being said you get about 2 cups of water in just the food that you eat daily.
So the advice that was given to me is drink water when your thirsty but not just because you have to.
Finally, I don't eat all low fat stuff/reduced calorie stuff actually i rarely do unless it's like sour cream. Life is about living and food in moderation. Mind you i don't have the over eating problem that a lot of people do so for me it works to not use the low fat options but i know that's not always a choice for other people.
Lessons I've learned:
1- Food is not the enemy it can be enjoyed.
2. When you freaked out about the 700 calorie burger for dinner, you still had 50 calories left to meet your minimum for the day after dinner...quit freaking out about the smaller stuff.
3. Running is fun
4. Don't look at the clock and just stop because times up if you can push harder push harder you'll be surprised.
Things to work on;
1. Eat More Protein!!!!! ( seriously i havent come close to 60 grams a day in weeks)
2. Strength training is important you should do it ( since i've only done it twice in the last 3 weeks)
Hmm Now what should i do with my hair. I'm getting it relaxed (straightend) and cut but i don't want it short i love the length it is, i just need a style) oh and thinking red highlights?
