Summer Serendipity

What are your favorite summer memories or things you look forward to about summer?

Flip flops (although I'm a 3 season flip flop girl most places the USMC sends us)
The beach no matter where I am - ocean, lake (great or small), river
The Tour De France :)
Sunflowers
Hummingbirds in the garden
Bunnies in the orchard
Farmer's Markets
Freggies aplenty - they smell so good in summer. MMMMMMM
Ice cream (here in Michigan folks like up for blocks for custard in a cone)
Pop (that's soda where I come from) - an ice cold Vernors here in MI.
Tubing down the river to stay cool and maybe a tube with a cooler full of pop or soda or ice cold water or other libations too

Last night while grilling, two of the baby deer we've been watching came out of the woods into the orchard and were frolicking and romping. HUGE smile maker.

The past two nights, we've seen Mother's Nature's personal fireworks a la fire flies or lightening bugs whichever you call them. They are huge and plentiful and their light show almost magical. Maggie our lab has never seen them and is mesmerized.

I have been blessed to spend summers in so many places and learn about and adopt so many summer customs.

    I love this blog!!! I love floating on my pontoon boat on beautiful summer evenings with a slight breeze, my DH grilling our dinner as the sun sets and illuminates the sky in amazing colors, ending with an "ahhhh" and a kiss. Cashew carmel crunch ice cream in the midst of a bike ride. 4th of July with the Leblanc side of the family (I attended my 28th this year). Celebrating my anniversary on July 18th. Hiking to new waterfalls. I love the smile you have brought to my face by allowing me to think about the wonderful things in my life right now and before!!! Hugs

    I miss camping, love Barbecuing & campfires at night with friends, talking about old memories. That is what we did last night. Laughing about things you did not think of at the time that meant much but ended up being some of the best moments in life.

    We used to camp every year, go to Blues Festivals over the weekend, jet skiing & boating, an roping inner tubes & rafts together for the annual 4 hour float down the Methow river.

    Watching my sister-in law Terri do her gardening & learning from her to create my own.

    my summer memories are going to the farmers market with my dad and brother at 4 or 5 in the morning. Going out for breakfast before going to the market.

    Another is going to Bradford Beach on Lake Michigan and swimming in the cold water.
