Changing my ways... again :)

Monday, July 18, 2011

For the last couple of day, I noticed that my right knee was soaring while walking my morning path. That disturbed me because I had to buy some ortheses last fall because of some pain in my knee while working out. I didn't want the pain to come back and injury my legs again.
So I though about my daily routine and I came to realize that most of the time, I had to turn right on almost every corner in order to complete the 3 km circuit. So, this morning, I did it "up side down", walking the "wrong way" and finish by the street I use to do first.
What a nice surprise.
Usually, I notice something new here and there every day - a flower blooming, a nice tree, a cat behind a window. But today, the hole circuit felt bran new: I saw the other side of each houses, curves in the road I didn't notice before, even the wind blow in a new direction.
Who said "change is good" ? Change is Excellent to keep me motivated !
Another change I did today was to push a little more on that "Your Shape" kinect game.
I really enjoy kick-boxing and tai chi class emoticon.
Last nigh, I saw a beginning of a change in my thigh too : they're getting slimmer, as the muscular part is growing : thanks to so many squats!

I also changed the type of crust I use in our Sunday Night Vege Homemade Pizza last night, for a more healthier one (more fiber, less carb)! emoticon
... yes, change is good my friend !

Well, well, well, look at you go! How's the knee? You ok? Make sure you are careful with your squats too my dear....I know when I was leaning forward with my knee over my toe instead of at a 90 degree angle I started to get knee pain. Just a friendly outside perspective emoticon

Look at all this positive change in you! How AWESOME!!! I'm sooo proud of you! I can "hear" the spring in your step in the way you wrote this blog!Nice way to start my week!!

I had to laugh at Rose's reply...isn't that the truth? So many new exciting ways to exercise and have fun and sometimes you just can't find time to do it all....awww, there's always next week! emoticon

Great job my dear friend!! emoticon emoticon

Ain't that something! It does give you a whole new perspective, don't it! BTW...You're doing a FAB job w/that exercise! And how do you like Tai Chi? I'm thinking of signing up for classes......but I'm already enJOYing ZUMBA & DRUMS ALIVE & taking the Tai Chi will commit me to 2 more days at the Y. My dilemma is that I'll be commiting to 5 days at the Y! Which will cut into my outdoor walk & run time! Geeesshhhhhhh....so much to do! And not enough time to do 'em all!

What's a Sparker to do???!! emoticon

LOVE YA my friend! emoticon EnJOY your adventures!
