How I make it work

There are really 4 things I do every day.
I keep a journal. I try and write for 15 minutes about whatever comes to mind. Some days it is I don't want to do this. This sucks. You get the picture. Journaling helps me keep the focus.
I walk about 3 miles 6 days a week. I may do some other forms of exercise but this one is not optional. Walking keeps me moving.
I log my food. Good or Bad, I log it. There are times like last night that I did not have a bedtime snack because of my calorie count. I am working on spreading out the calories to give me a more balance but that is still a work in procress.
The last thing is I have a real person that I report 4 thing to every day. We are accountablity partners for different things. I report on weight, calories, water, exercise. She is looking for a new job. She reports on interviews, searches, problems and time spent searching. We have both found that someone we can reach out and touch about something different works better for us.
I have found we each need things that work for us. Be it the diet you use, how you exercise, but being accountable here or in person helps. Yet exactly what works for each of us is an individual thing.
