It's hard--that's why it's a challenge!

Tuesday, October 18, 2011

In my enthusiasm, I suggested to my A Team members that we challenge ourselves more this week --we would increase our exercise time by whatever amount we felt we could commit to.

I led the charge by challenging myself to double my daily exercise time this week. I'm determined to do it, but it's killing me. I have sense enough to know I'm not going to run every day, and when I do it's for no more than an hour. So I'm constantly looking for something to do to add up to the 120 min. Heck, I need to retire just so I can exercise.

Bet I'll drop a lb. this week though. For sure.

I responded with a commitment of 750 minutes for the week, which is over 100 minutes per day. I don't think I'm going to make it, given what I've done so far. It's tough to do so much!! I am going to kick it up a notch for the rest of the week... already have one hour done today and plans to do another one tonight to help make up some of my 'lost' time.

I mix it up with dog walks (some relaxed, some more spirited pace) and walks with coworkers at lunch, my C25K runs, bike rides, elliptical, Wii Fit game and Pilates! That last one is my new favorite "get more minutes without killing myself" exercise.
