Counting My Blessings

I have so many things to be thankful for. If I started to count my blessing I would have to borrow a couple of thousand hands to help me count. God is so good! I've had the best Christmas ever. Not that I received presents galore or some big thing that I always wanted. Just being with my family all together in one place; watching the joy and wonder of my grand children as they opened every present; just sitting around the kitchen table talking with my sisters and remembering all the fun and crazy things we did when we were children; remembering my mother and how wonderful she was and how much fun we had with her reminded me just how blessed I am that God Almighty saw fit to place me exactly where He wanted in to be, in the family He wanted me to be in and I am so thankful. I say all this because sometime sadly enough families don't get along, don't enjoy each others company, don't love or respect one another and that is such a sad thing especially at Christmas time when Christmas is about love and family. God loved us so much that he sent His only Son into the world to die for our sins so that we could become part of His family. Family is important to God. My mother taught me and my sisters that no matter what disagreements we might have with each other, there's nothing that your sisters can do that would be so bad that you would never speak to each other ever again so, we learned early that whatever the issues in our lives are, we are family and that takes precedence over anything else. Thank God we had a mother who taught us to love each other no matter what.
More Importantly I am so thankful for a God who loves me the same way, with an everlasting love. On second thought just knowing that by itself makes this the best Christmas ever.
Blessing, Blessing.......Still counting my blessings.
Merry Day after Christmas
